Fair use, in plain terms

QuickBooks meters the data Handled reads on your behalf, and that is the one cost that scales with how much you use it. So each plan includes a number of active jobs per month — the thing that drives those reads and the thing you can actually count. Not a read count, which would be useless to you.

The same ceiling is visible inside the product, not only here — a limit you agreed to once at purchase and can never see again is not a limit, it is a trap. Each tenant’s Subscription page shows today’s QuickBooks reads against the budget below, live. If anything there is unclear, ask us and we will walk you through exactly where you stand.

The mechanism, in numbers — identical on every tier today

Behind the active-jobs ceiling sit two operational numbers, and they are published here before anything enforces them: the daily QuickBooks read budget each portal gets, and the background refresh cadence (how often Handled re-checks QuickBooks for changes no webhook reports).

Yes, the four columns are identical — deliberately. A bigger budget and a faster refresh floor are paid levers whose prices are not set yet, and we would rather show you four honest identical columns than invent a difference nobody can buy. Two more things worth saying plainly: the budget is measured, not enforced today — nothing slows or stops when you reach it, and we will tell you before that changes; and when it is enforced, only background refreshes wait for the next day — anything you ask for by hand always runs.

Try it for 14 days

Built — signup not open yet. The machinery below is running in the product today: the 14-day clock, the trial states you will see in HubSpot and on your Subscription page here, and the read counting above are all live. What is not open is self-serve signup — there is no checkout yet, so nobody can start a trial without talking to us, and expiry enforcement stays switched off until signup opens: we would rather show you the machinery than surprise anyone with it. If you want to evaluate Handled now, talk to us and we will set you up directly.

No credit card. Fourteen days rather than seven for a product reason: Handled’s whole claim is progress billing, and a week can easily contain no draw at all. A trial runs on a QuickBooks sandbox that we set up with jobs like yours, because Handled does not have Intuit’s production keys yet: the invoices it posts land in that sandbox, not in your books, and it reads none of your own books. Sending is different. Pressing Send, or an automatic send where a billing rule turns it on, emails the invoice to a real inbox, by default the deal’s billing contact in your HubSpot portal. During a trial, send only to a test address.

During the trialWhat happens
Cost & invoice history on first connectThe last 90 days of the company you connect, which for now is that sandbox
History after you convertThe last two years, filled in as each deal next syncs
Card requiredNo
If you do not convertYour numbers stay on your deals with their last values, and the deal card says the trial has ended. Marking each figure as no longer updating, with the date it stopped, is planned, not built

The trial carries a read ceiling for the same reason the plans do — it is the same mechanism, and it is why we can offer a trial without a card at all.

We do not clear your fields when a trial ends. Deleting work out of your CRM at the moment you are deciding whether to trust us would be the wrong instinct — but a frozen margin figure that does not say it is frozen is a wrong number on a finance screen, so marking it is planned. Until it is built, the deal card says the trial has ended, but the figures themselves carry no mark.

What is not included

Questions we would rather answer here

What happens if I cancel?

Uninstalling Handled from HubSpot ends its access to that portal. It does not yet erase your data by itself, because nothing in Handled acts on an uninstall today: email us and we will run the erasure and send you the per-table report. Until we do, or until you remove the app under Settings → Apps in QuickBooks, Handled keeps reading QuickBooks on its scheduled refresh. A subscription is separate, and uninstalling does not cancel it. The privacy page describes exactly which tables are erased — and names the limits we have not closed yet.

Do you take a cut of my invoices?

No. Handled charges a subscription. It never touches payment rails and does not process money.

What counts as an “active job”?

A job Handled syncs cost or invoices for in a given month. A deal sitting closed with no new activity does not consume one. If your month is unusual, tell us — we would rather look at it with you than have a counter make the decision.

Prices are in USD, per portal per month. This page is the source of truth for Handled pricing; if a marketplace listing ever disagrees with it, this page is correct.
