DRAFT — NOT LEGAL ADVICE, NOT YET REVIEWED. Drafted against what the software actually does, by reading the code that stores and deletes data. It must be reviewed by a lawyer before Handled is offered publicly. Published in this state deliberately: a marketplace reviewer following a link from the app listing should find an accurate description of the software rather than a 404 or reassuring boilerplate.

Terms

Terms of service

Between you (the “Customer”) and Roofing Business Partner (“RBP”), covering use of Handled.

1. What Handled is

Handled is a connector between a HubSpot portal and a QuickBooks® Online company. It reads cost and invoice data, writes job cost and margin onto HubSpot records, and posts invoices to QuickBooks under the approval terms in clause 3.

It is not accounting software, not a system of record, and not a substitute for either connected product or for professional advice.

2. Your accounts

You need your own HubSpot and QuickBooks Online subscriptions. You are responsible for who you grant access to, and for the accuracy of the data in those systems — Handled reports what it reads.

3. Approval, and who is responsible for what posts

Handled proposes invoices, and a person approves each one before it reaches QuickBooks — unless someone in your portal switches on automatic posting, which is off by default. Any user in your portal who can open the card can approve, post, void and send invoices, and switch automation on. With automation on, that standing rule is the approval, and invoices post without anyone reviewing them individually. An invoice posted either way is your record and your responsibility, the same as one typed into QuickBooks directly.

Handled computes amounts from your contract values and cost data. Check them. It will not bill past the contract — a draw is clamped to what is left, and it records that it was clamped — and it refuses an approval whose amount changed since it was displayed. Those are guardrails, not a warranty of correctness.

4. Tax, compliance and your own rules

Handled does not determine taxability and does not give tax advice. Where an invoice carries tax, it reflects what is configured in your QuickBooks file.

You remain responsible for your own regulatory obligations, including — where relevant — rules about what may be offered to a customer in connection with an insurance claim.

5. Fees, trial and usage

Subscription fees are as published at /pricing, per HubSpot portal per month, billed in advance. Plans include a monthly active-job allowance; we will contact you about your usage rather than cutting you off without notice, and we will tell you before an allowance changes.

The trial is 14 days, requires no card, and includes 90 days of history on first connect. If you do not convert, your figures remain on your deals marked as no longer updating.

Either party may terminate at the end of a billing period. Uninstalling Handled from HubSpot ends the service and triggers erasure under our privacy terms.

6. Your data

Your data stays yours. We store what is described at /privacy to operate the service, we do not sell it, we do not train models on it, and we delete it when you leave.

7. Availability

Handled depends on HubSpot’s and Intuit’s APIs, and those services impose their own rate limits and outages. We do not offer an uptime commitment on a standard plan — if you need one, it belongs in an Enterprise agreement.

8. Warranty and liability

Handled is provided “as is”, without warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Changes

We may change these terms and will give reasonable notice of a material change. Continuing to use Handled after a change means accepting it.
