We did not go looking for this problem. We kept getting handed it.
Roofing Business Partner is a roofing business consultancy. Roofing companies bring us their HubSpot and their QuickBooks®, and somewhere between the two sits the question nobody can answer fast enough: did this job make money, and do we know now or do we find out in three weeks?
We answered it by hand. Company after company, the same reconciliation — exports stitched together, the same spreadsheet rebuilt, and thirty-two live integrations built across client engagements, held together in Make.com, syncing objects well enough to limp along and never well enough to trust. Then we went looking for something better and found a category that copies records back and forth and stops there: customers, invoices and payments move between the two systems, and not one of the apps we looked at put job cost or margin on the deal.

Job costing that lives on the deal
Nobody wants a report they have to go and dig out of QuickBooks. They want to open the deal and see realised margin with costs aggregated by bucket, right there, while there is still time to do something about it.
One job billed across a real timeline
Most connectors assume one deal, one invoice. Roofing does not work that way — you bill in stages, on a schedule, sometimes by contract terms and sometimes because a draw came due. Draw schedules had to be built in from day one, not bolted on.
The business case was our own invoice
Holding that scaffolding together became the business case for building it properly. When we measured it in August 2026, QuickBooks work was 37% of the Make operations our live scenarios ran. Handled is what we built to stop doing it by hand, and it is what we will run on the books we look after.
Who is behind it
Handled is built and maintained by the same people who spend their days inside other companies’ HubSpot portals and QuickBooks files, which is why it is shaped the way it is.

What we will and will not say
Handled is new. Some of what it does runs and is verified, some ships but is still being proven, and some is next. The documentation marks every capability with its status, and nothing on this site claims a capability that does not exist. If you find one, tell us and we will take it down.
